Before you reach out.
What size operator does Island Edge typically work with?
We work with operators at a range of scales — from single-site owners who are ready to professionalize their operations, to regional chains running 20–50+ locations. Our engagements are scoped to fit the operator, not the other way around. A one-site operator with a $50K supply chain problem deserves the same rigor as a 30-site chain.
How does a typical engagement start?
Almost always with a diagnostic phase — we need to understand the actual state of your business before recommending anything. Depending on the situation, this is either a remote document review or an on-site discovery engagement. We deliver a findings report and a prioritized roadmap before any implementation work begins.
Do you work on retainer or project basis?
Both. Diagnostic and implementation work is typically scoped as fixed-fee projects. Ongoing advisory — where we serve as a fractional strategic resource for your leadership team — is available on a monthly retainer basis. We'll recommend the right structure based on what your situation calls for.
We use a different ERP than iRely. Can you still help?
Yes. While iRely i21 is our deepest area of ERP expertise, the supply chain, margin optimization, retail, and financial advisory work we do is ERP-agnostic. We've worked across multiple systems and the operational and financial diagnostic work applies regardless of platform.
Are you based in one region?
Island Edge is based in the Raleigh, NC area, but we work with operators across the United States. On-site engagements involve travel, which we factor into project scoping. Remote diagnostic and advisory work can be conducted with any operator regardless of geography.
